Got Milk?

Got Milk LED light comes with a traditional on and off switch, but if you leave it on, flipping the glass over turns it off. Nothing like a simple and elegant direct physical action to control a simple and elegant device.

Luz ao seu Alcance

How many times have you had to write something in the middle of the night but was too lazy to get out of bed? Now you no longer need to get up to turn on the light. This idea is so simple, you remove the pen from the holder and the light turns on. This design is cute and useful!

I really need one of this on my bed side, so when I have an inspiration in the middle of the night, I can write them down!

light PEG

light PEG designed by Natalia Romanova for a lighting design competition is really pretty cool!

The concept of the light PEG is to combine the functions of pegs with light. It kinda like little to-go lights! Very cute!

Each PEG has 6 LEDs and 2 rechargeable batteries (not sure of the size). The batteries needs to be charged for 30-40mins for 4-5 hours of lite time. That's pretty good.

We can see a lot of possibilities of where to use the light PEG, what about you?

Definitely a must at parties!!!
Would be very useful for ordering drinks at a bar as well.
It's a cleaver concept!

Alone Coat Wall Hook LED Light

The Alone Coat Wall Hook LED light by Italian manufacturer Pallucco is perfect for those dark nights you come home. It's dark everywhere but you know exactly where to hang your coat!

It looks so elegant that it can be the hallway lighting. We don't have to use ugly plug lights to light our dark hallways, anymore.

"Alone coat hook has clear-cut, linear design is enhanced at the rear by an opal finish ring that fills with white light creating a bright halo focusing on the hanging garment. Thanks to LED lights technology the hook can work from one battery pack for a long time. It also can be used like simple wall lights thanks to it’s minimalistic design and colors.

Torch White LED light Glove

This Torch white LED light glove designed by Solvenian designer Tilen Sepic sure look like something out of the the sci-fi movies. The design concept is to make a working light without shadows being reflected in the object. Just point at the location and you will see the light!

This sure is an unusual concept!

Energy Seed

Energy Seed is designed by Sungoo Park and Sunhee Kim.
The idea of this concept is to throw their used batteries into the Energy Seed and the combined leftover battery juice from all the batteries will be able to power the LED.
But....
There's still the same problem of the battery waste...

LULL

Lull is a lamp that's shaped like a flower and it opens and closes as it turns on/off.

Lull is an award-winning product made for GiForm 2007, an industrial design competition in Norway.

In the evening time, Lull gives off an warm glow and turns off while slowly closing. In the morning, it opens it's flower paddles and slowly increase the light intensity while giving people a more delightful awakening experience.

I wonder if it's on a timer? Or is it sensitive to the day light? On the other hand, when there's sunlight outside, we usually don't need another light... or do we?

LED of leds

LED of LED by kei yamamoto from France

They are so simple! The design shows off the simplicity and beauty in 5mm led that we most likely took for granted.

These LED lighting fixtures are about twenty times a led bulb and there are 12 leds in the acrylic glass lens. As a bonus, it also creates interesting light patterns on the walls or ceiling.

Very interesting idea but not yet manufactured.

Pear Tree Light Glows

This cool lite pear hanging on a "tree" is designed by Nick Foley, an industrial design student in New York.

He states, “Each pear contains ten ultra bright white LEDs, an autonomous charging circuit, and rare-earth magnets that allow it to be ‘picked’ from the tree and remain fully illuminated for over an hour.”

Ten ultra bright white LEDs! Now, that's really bright!!
I suppose each LED pear could function almost as a flash light when needed. And when you are not using it, just hang it back on the "tree" and it will be charged. What a fun and maybe useful idea!

Spark System (1 cool lighting product / day)

What is this beautiful thing? It is a modular LED lighting fixture designed by Daniel Becker, who is an industrial designer from Frankfurt Germany. This modular lighting system is designed to be arranged in a 3 dimensional space, which is very unusual! This does not have to fit flat on the wall. It can turn a corner, come off of the wall and rotate freely in 360 degrees. What an amazing idea!

This LED lighting fixture is almost scuplture like, is composed from a few simple parts. Each part has a joinet that can be rotated in 360 degrees in any direction. The parts can be easliy attached with screw-type joinets even if you don't have any technical expertise, you can also simply make your own lighting art!

Want to see more beautiful pictures and find out more about Spark system?

Piano LED lights by QisDesign

Piano LED

This LED lighting fixture, inspired by the piano, allows the user to play the light as they would a piano. A very interesting idea! The user can adjust the amount of lighting by switching the "piano keys" on and off. The more "white" keys, the brighter the light is!

The Piano LED collection comes in two forms:

Floor Light
and
Desk Light

The Piano Light costs a bit on the higher side, but hey, the ability to interact with your lighting fixture is priceless, right?

Airflow (1 cool lighting product / day)

From Design Spotter:

"Air is not visible. Air movements are. Differences in pressure cause wind,
accelerating the air from higher to lower pressure. Winds can shape landforms by
erosion or move single elements great distances from their source area, enabling
survival and dispersal, as well as contingency, disorder and deformation. The
single leaves in this light sculpture can forever be formed and repositioned,
bent and rearranged, establishing different patterns and changing perspectives:
a shift in an air breeze.

Designer: Nora Lau (Germany)
Manufacturer:
Nora Lau (Germany)
Inspired By: airflow
Material: coated fabric, steel
wire, light bulb, bulb fitting
Colours: white
Dimension: single leaves:
ca 30-50 cm x 50-80 cm "

A light that moves with air and wind... clever idea!

Clamp Lamp (1 cool lighting product / day)

From Dseign Spotter:

"Clamp lamp explores the concept of "truth" in design where the main
objective is to create an object which primarily utilizes the functionality of a
solid unfinished hardwood rather than a system of foreign components.
The
lamp itself consists of a solid maple base and free moving cantilevered arm, LED
strip, wire and transformer. The entire system is compression fit with no glue
or screws holding the lamp together.

Designer: Dana Cannam (Netherlands)
Manufacturer: Dana Cannam (Netherlands)
Inspired By: Old fashioned
wooden clamps
Material: maple
Colours: unfinished
Dimension: 70 cm X
65 cm
Price: 239 euro "

Very nicely designed, slick and simple.
